Great Orme Golf (GOG) CIC - Membership T&C

Effective Date: Dec 1st 2025-Mar 31st 2027 (16 months)

1. Membership & Payment

1.1. What is GOG?

Great Orme Golf (GOG) is a Community Interest Company (CIC). This means we promise to use all money and profits to directly improve the golf course and support community programs, like the Schools Golf Project. Your membership fee is an investment in this local asset.

1.2. The Membership Period

This document covers your GOG membership from Dec 1st 2025-Mar 31st 2027.

1.3. Fees are Non-Refundable

All membership fees must be paid in full before your membership starts. Once paid, fees are final and generally non-refundable. If GOG ever stops operating as a CIC, the Board will decide if a fair, partial refund can be given.

2. Course Access Rules

2.1. Course Opening Times

Your Membership allows access based on the course's daily schedule.

2.2. Booking and Behavior

Members may walk onto the course, but booking a tee time is strongly advised. Everyone must follow standard golf etiquette and keeping a good pace of play.

2.3. Course Care

Members are responsible for ensuring that their actions do not cause damage to the course. This includes replacing divots, repairing pitch marks, raking bunkers, and observing all signs and ropes.

2.4. Course Closures

GOG Management has the right to close the course immediately due to bad weather (like frost, fog, or flooding) if it is unsafe or if playing will damage the grass. No membership fee refund or extension will be provided for temporary weather-related closures.

3. Complimentary Club Hire (Your Responsibility)

3.1. Free Club Use

As a benefit of your Winter Membership, you get complimentary use of a full set of golf clubs for daily play.

3.2. Damage from Negligence

If a club is damaged due to carelessness (e.g., throwing clubs or hitting hard, immovable objects), you will be charged the repair or replacement cost, as decided by GOG management.

4. Junior Members (Under 18s)

4.1. Under 14s Must Be Accompanied

A Junior Member is anyone under 18. All Junior Members under the age of 14 must be accompanied by a parent, legal guardian, or an adult member (aged 18 or older) at all times on the course or practice facilities.

4.2. Adult Responsibility

The accompanying adult takes full responsibility for the junior's safety, behavior, and following all course rules.

4.3. Exception to Play Alone (Under 14s)

A junior under 14 can only play unaccompanied if they apply for permission. They must pass a formal on-course test given by GOG management to prove they are safe, competent, and know the rules. GOG management has the final say. If approved, the junior will receive a written letter of permission, which they must carry while playing alone.

4.4. Parent's Agreement

By buying a membership for a junior, the parent or guardian agrees to these terms and agrees that Great Orme Golf (GOG) is not responsible for any claims or liability resulting from the junior's actions on the property.

5. Our Commitment

5.1. Commitment to Reinvestment

As a Community Interest Company (CIC), GOG guarantees that 100% of your membership fee is reinvested directly into maintaining and improving the Great Orme Golf Course and supporting our community goals. This is our promise that your money is spent locally and responsibly on the asset you use.

I have read, understand, and agree to the Great Orme Golf Membership Terms and Conditions and the Course Access Policy.
